Image Resizer
Resize images to exact dimensions with optional aspect-ratio lock — private and in your browser.
Resize images right in your browser
The Image Resizer changes the dimensions of any image to the exact width and height you need, with an optional aspect-ratio lock so your image never looks stretched. Upload a photo, set the size, and download the result — all processed locally in your browser, so your images are never uploaded to a server.
Why resize images?
Oversized images slow down websites, blow past upload limits, and waste storage. Resizing to the dimensions you actually need keeps pages fast, fits images into forms and profile pictures, and prepares assets for email or print. Because page speed is a ranking and user-experience factor, right-sizing images is one of the easiest performance wins there is.
How to use it
- Upload an image by clicking or dragging it in.
- Enter a new width or height (keep the ratio locked to avoid distortion).
- Download the resized PNG.
Aspect ratio matters
The aspect ratio is the relationship between width and height. If you change one dimension without the other, the image stretches or squashes. With the ratio lock on, changing the width automatically updates the height (and vice versa) so your image keeps its proportions. Turn the lock off only when you deliberately want a specific non-proportional size.

Private by design
Everything happens locally using your browser's canvas — your image is never uploaded, stored, or seen by anyone. That makes the resizer safe for personal photos, screenshots, and confidential graphics, with no waiting for uploads or downloads from a server.

The tool is completely free with no sign-up and no watermarks. Resize as many images as you like.
